Become a HOSEC Member and Help Save Open Space
The Hillside Open Space Education Coalition (HOSEC) was established by the cities of Brea, La Habra, La Habra Heights and Whittier, and the Hacienda Heights and Rowland Heights Community Associations to preserve and acquire important open space along the border of Los Angeles and Orange counties. This remarkably diverse habitat in the center of the Southern California metropolitan area faces encroachment from future development projects. Unless, HOSEC and other environmental groups are successful in fulfilling their missions, future development will severely reduce already limited open space and choke wildlife movement by further isolating the Puente Hills-Chino wildlife corridor.
Individuals, non-profit groups and government agencies sharing HOSEC's mission are encouraged to apply for membership in order to lend support and advance our mission. Check out our current membership roster and see the organizations and individuals that share the vision. Join us and strenghten our voice as we continue work to save open space, protect the wildlife corridor and improve the quality of life for generations to come.
